I made the decision that our Toyota Camry wagon would not be worth fixing and that if no one wanted it by next week after Christmas we would send her off to the recking yard for $250. All in all the new transmition she needs would run us $1000 and the A/C would need to probably be replaced next summer ($1200) as well as the engine being rebuilt ($1500). So to keep her we are looking at about $3700 over the next 9 months (something I'd rather not do... better to put that money into a newer car). She has served us well these last three years and it's a wonder she is 15 years old and sports 238,000 miles. All in all a fair value running an average of about $175 a month including cost, repairs, insurance, gas and maintainance. Good bye little wagon!
